WEEKEND BOX OFFICE: The Possession repeats atop the chart with a mere 9.5 million on what is traditionally the slowest movie weekend of the year.  Lawless places with 6 million, a 40 percent drop from its lackluster debut.  The Words shows with a five million opening (thankfully against a 6 million budget).  The Expendables comes in fourth with 4.8 million and a 75.4 million total making Lionsgate thankful for a larger gross overseas.  The Bourne Legacy rounds out the Top 5 with 4 million as part of the ~40 percent drop club.  Below the fold, The Cold Light of Day debuted at No. 13 with 1.8 million. Ouch.
