THE WEEKEND STARTS HERE:

... with THE BYRDS! To everything there is a season, and when the leaves start turning, my thoughts turn to this rare live threefer of "Turn! Turn! Turn!", "Bells of Rhymney" and "Mr. Tambourine Man", introduced by... David McCallum? There are more screaming girls, plus go-go dancers when they hit Shivaree for "All I Really Want to Do" and "Feel A Whole Lot Better."  There are even more dancers when they cover "Not Fade Away" for Shindig! on June 23, 1965, while I'm pretty sure that's Ed Wynn introducing "Chimes of Freedom."

BOB MOULD: “Unfortunately, this record seems perfectly timed.”

THE DOOBIE BROTHERS issue a legal demand to... Bill Murray.

W.S. "FLUKE" HOLLAND, who played drums for Johnny Cash and on early Carl Perkins staples like "Blue Suede Shoes," died Wednesday at 85.

COUSTEAU: "The Last Good Day of the Year." Or close to it.

RYAN REYNOLDS & ROB McELHENNEY want to own part of a British soccer club.

JENNIFER ANISTON was not Friends' first choice for Rachel?

DAVID FINCHER's Lost Projects.

LOBSTAHMAN saves the seagull that rode on his bow for 15 years.

A GOOD DOGGO, very excited to go on a walk.
