WEEKEND BOX OFFICE: Boo! A Madea Halloween repeats atop the chart with 16.7MM in what turned out to be a very scary weekend for cinemas. It could easily end as the second-biggest of the franchise behind Medea Goes to Jail.  Inferno placed with 15MM, well short of the 25MM gurus predicted.  That's...not good for a film with a 75MM production budget and likely the same amount in marketing costs.  It's doing god biz overseas, but the past few years have not been good to director Ron Howard.  Jack Reacher: Never Go Backshows with 9.6MM, and the 39.7MM domestic total so far is going to need help overseas against even its reasonable 60MM budget.  The Accountant took the fourth slot with 8.5MM and is doing alright as it slowly begins rolling out in other countries.  Ouija: Origin of Evil rounded out the Top Five with 7MM; you'd think this would have held better for Halloween, but it's already made 43MM worldwide against a 9MM budget.  Overall receipts were bad in this frame. Maybe folks are waiting on Doctor Strange.
