Ray Davies celebrated a birthday this week (as did Brian Wilson) and the recent reissue of the early Kinks albums put me in a mood for their appearances on Shindig!, including "All Day and All of the Night," "Tired of Waiting For You," "Set Me Free," "You Really Got Me," "Who'll Be The Next In Line?," "It's Alright" and "I Gotta Move." Come for th fuzz guitars, stay for the go-go dancers.
