WEEKEND BOX OFFICE: Resident Evil: Retribution tops your chart with 21.1 million, right about where this franchise does... and against a relatively light 65 million budget, there will almost undoubtedly be more zombies to come. Despite selling relatively fewer tickets for this installment domestically, this flick took in another 50 million worldwide and may well top 300 million by the end of its run.  The 3-D rerelease of Finding Nemo places with 17.5 million, just about on par with the 3-D Beauty and the Beast, more easy money for the Mouse.  The Possession shows with 5.8 million on a 38 percent drop in a quite leggy showing for a horror flick.  Lawless drops to the fourth slot with 4.2 million on a mere 30 perscent drop, which should remind us of just how bad last weekend was. ParaNorman rounds out the Top 5 with 3 million on a 28 percent drop, continuing to underperform Coraline (although in fairness, Coraline had a fan base from the book).

KATE MIDDLETON: Lawyers for Britain's royal family will make a criminal complaint against the photographer who took pictures of Prince William's wife Kate sunbathing topless in the south of France, William's office said Sunday.

AMANDA BYNES came one step closer to disaster Thursday night when she was driving around West Hollywood — on a suspended license — and got into an accident ... though, luckily, it was minor.  Does she have serious mental issues?

EVA LONGORIA & MARK SANCHEZ: Officially an item.

BEN AFFLECK talks to Details about Argo and the enternal struggle to balance work and family.

THE UNITED STATES pulled nonessential staff from its diplomatic facilities in Sudan and Tunisia. Abel Daoud was arrested in an FBI sting operation and charged with trying to detonate a bomb in a downtown Chicago bar. In Virginia, Amine el Khalifi was sentenced to 30 years in prison for plotting to bomb the US Capitol.

EGYPT: Protests in Cairo subsided as hundreds of riot police cleared the area around the US embassy. Security forces arrested 220 "troublemakers and lawbreakers" and jailed 54 for prosecution. Barriers were erected to seal off the area.

LIBYA: Security forces identified 50 individuals involved in the attack on the US embassy. Four have been arrested; others may have escaped. The US sent spies, Marines, and drones to Libya to speed the investigation. Al Qaeda said the attack was revenge for the killing of its second in command, Abu Yahya al Libi.
