A SHORT DAY for me, but I have a few things for y'all...

PET SOUNDS: the Brian Wilson-helmed Beach Boys classic --  the second-greatest LP of all time, according to Rolling Stone -- turned 50 yesterday. The Toronto Star has a handy explainer of its greatness.  The HuffPost interviewed Brian Wilson and Al jardine.  At the time of its release, Capitol was not a fan of the album; it got more love in the UK, which makes this BBC documentary all the more appropos viewing (as well as the late, great George Martin dissecting "God Only Knows" with Brian). TIME has outtakes from the iconic cover photoshoot. NPR covered "Good Vibrations," the song started, but not completed, for Pet Sounds.

BLONDE ON BLONDE, one of Bob Dylan's best albums -- the ninth-greatest LP of all time, according to Rolling Stone -- also turned 50 yesterday. Rob Sheffield, Evan Robert Marshall and Billboard essay its greatness, including the evolution in Dylan's songwriting since Highway 61 Revisited.

SINEAD O'CONNOR was lost and found in Wilmette, IL.

TEGAN & SARA dropped "Stop Desire" ahead of Love Me To Death.

VARIOUS ARTISTS: A Tribute To ’90s Tribute Albums.

PRINCE: Inside His Final Days.

MARGOT ROBBIE is attached to star in and produce a Harley Quinn spinoff,  said to feature Harley and a number of other female characters from the DC Comics library.

WENDELL PIERCE, best known as Det. William ‘Bunk’ Moreland from HBO’s The Wire, was arrested around 4 a.m. on Sunday, after a dispute with a Bernie Sanders supporter.

HENRY CAVILL has split with his teenage girlfriend. Shocka.

STEVEN SPIELBERG talks about The BFG with the NYT.

SUSAN SARANDON is on Woody Allen's case.

AL QAEDA and ISIS may have a showdown in Syria.

YOU MAY KNOW IT AS BURMA: The United States plans to renew the bulk of its sanctions against Myanmar when they expire this week, but will make some changes aimed at boosting investment and trade, according to several senior U.S. officials and congressional aides.

LIBYA: In a move fraught with risk, the United States and other world powers said Monday they would supply Libya's internationally recognized government with weapons to counter the Islamic State and other militant groups gaining footholds in the chaos-wracked country's lawless regions.

A FANCY CAT attended prom.

THE SWARM: Beekeepers were busy trying to make the streets of a Northern California town safe again after a deadly swarm of bees wreaked havoc this past weekend, trapping people inside their homes and cars and dive bombing pedestrians.
