DOLORES O'RIORDAN, the lead singer of the Irish rock band the Cranberries, died on Monday in London. She was 46.  There is as yet no announced cause of death.  She co-wrote the bands breakthrough hit "Linger," and was sole writer of "Zombie."  There's a video obit at The Guardian, while NME compiles 11 of the band's best.

WEEKEND BOX OFFICE: Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle repeats atop the chart with 27MM on a leggy 27 percent drop; it's a massive worldwide smash with 666MM to date against a 90MM budget.  The Post places with 18.6MM on its wide expansion, with big stars, a big director, and little competition for serious drama.  The Commuter shows with13.5MM, better than Liam Neeson's last action outing but not a huge hit; will we see him next on a boat or a blimp?   Insidious: The Last Key drops a hard 59 percent to the fourth slot with 12.1MM, as horror movies tend to do after making a lot of money.  The Greatest Showman rounds out the Top Five with 11.8MM on a leggy 14 percent drop.  Below the fold, it The Last Jedi in sixth place, which is terrible to those who think 600MM domestic by the time it leaves the big screen is a bad thing.  Despite boffo reviews, Paddington 2 suffers in seventh, a Jumanji casualty.
