WEEKEND BOX OFFICE: Doctor Strange was the cinema's Sorcerer Supreme with an 85MM debut that sits just below the top ten November openings ever, and just about where Thor: the Dark World opened in the same month.Benedict Cumberbatch's films have tended to play quite well overseas, so the good doctor could rake in as much as 750MM in global sales by the end of its run (and roughly a third of that would be profit against a 165MM production budget).  Trolls placed with 45MM, which is probably alright against a 125MM budget, so long as thee 100MM oversaes grosses to date are indicative.  Hacksaw Ridge showed with a 14.8MM debu, which is probably pretty good against a 40MM budget, considering the lingering Mel Gibson controversy and competing with a Marvel opening.  Boo! A Madea Halloween predictably slides 55 percent and takes in 7.8MM and almost certainly breaks into profitability.  Inferno tanks 58 percent in its second frame, rounding out the Top Five with 6.3MM and 26MM domestic total against a 75MM budget; its 159MM in foreign sales will save this from flopping.
