ADAM SCHLESINGER, a singer-songwriter for the bands Fountains of Wayne and Ivy who had an award-winning second career writing songs for film (including "That Thing You Do" and the Wham!tastic "Pop Goes My Heart"), theater and television, died from complications of the coronavirus, on Wednesday. He was 52. ELLIS MARSALIS, jazz pianist, teacher and patriarch of a New Orleans musical family that includes famed musician sons Wynton and Branford, has died. He was 85.
